UPDATE 1

August 13, 2009 - Harrison Construction Project Manager, Brent Johnson and Project Supervisor, Larry Windham Give Update on The Tuscaloosa Amphitheater - Currently Using a 225 Ton Crane - Crane Applies 350 Tons of Pressure on a Drill Tip Through Hydraulics - Crane is Used to Drill "Piles" 35-75 Feet Deep, Which are Filled with Concrete - 1,978 Piles Total Need to be Drilled - All Piles for Building "F" are Complete - 90% of the Underground Water Utilities are Complete

September 04, 2009 - Harrison Construction Project Supervisor, Larry Windham Gives Update on The Tuscaloosa Amphitheater - 1,978 Piles Total Need to be Drilled * 371 Down - Currently Reinforcing Steel for the Grade Beams That WIll Support the Structure - Starting the Concrete Grade Beams for Building "F" Support for Restrooms and Merch Area - Hydro-Seed was Applied to the Slope of the Amphitheater to Contain the Silt and Discourage Erosion - The Rough Terrane by the River is Being Preped for Beautification

October 10, 2009 - Harrison Construction Project Supervisor, Larry Windham Gives Update on The Tuscaloosa Amphitheater - 1,978 Piles Total Need to be Drilled * 870 Down - Steel Beams have been Installed in Building E and F - Starting to Install the all of the Underground Plumbing and Electric - The Hydro-Seed that was Applied to the Slope of the Amphitheater has Kept the Slope from Washing Away - Water Pumps and Silt Containers are Being Used to Extract Excess Water

 

UPDATE 4

November 18, 2009 - Harrison Construction Project Supervisor, Larry Windham Gives Update on The Tuscaloosa Amphitheater - 1,978 Piles Total Need to be Drilled * 1383 Down - The Concrete Piles Needed for the Orchestra Pit Area (Located Directly in Front of the Stage) have been Installed - One Retaining Wall of the Four Needed is Complete - Foundation for Buildings F, E and D is Finished - Site Perimeter Foundation Complete - On Any Given Day 60 to 80 People are Working on the Amphitheater - This Number Will Steadily Increase as the Opening Date Gets Closer
