The Dukes of September Rhythm Revue supergroup, comprised of Donald Fagen, Michael McDonald and Boz Scaggs, will take to the North American tour trail this summer for the second time since their 2010 inception.
The trio next take the stage Wednesday (6/38) in Santa Rosa, CA, and will follow it up with four more California gigs through early July before working their way eastward across the continent. The 37-city itinerary, which includes a two-night stand Aug. 1-2 in New York City, wraps up Aug. 24 in Indianapolis.
Tickets for the summertime trek are available now via the group's website.
The Dukes, who organized in 2010, will be backed by Fagen's Steely Dan band for this outing, according to a recent Rolling Stone interview.
"When you're a solo artist for a few years, there's a part of you that longs for that journeyman status," McDonald told the magazine. "This situation fulfills that urge for all of us. It's like something after school -- going to the sandlot, playing ball or something."
Though they've not ruled out a Dukes album, two of the three of chart-topping musicians are working on their own solo projects: Scaggs is finishing up writing a new studio effort, while McDonald is working on a set of covers with his son Dylan, according to the interview.
